Ode to Procrastination

If I write an essay and it ends up late
It's because I have a tendency to procrastinate
The effort I put into the following prose
Diverted to my school work would give me high marks I suppose

A sunny day, a tv show, an unmade bed, painting my nails or a shiny new toy
An excursion to the supermarket, a computer game, or a cuddle from a young boy
Reading a Sci Fi novel, the dictionary, or the writing on a candy bar label
Anything to forgo sitting and writing at a school work table

This is not the first time I've written drivel to escape
Or even taking footage on a video tape.....phwor!!!!
I just simply do not know how to start, not even a little bit
But you know, once it's done I think, is that all...was that it!

So fondest regrets (ha ha) that I must leave you with my bad poetry
For I lack the ease of spelling, grammar or even lymeric symetry
I go and forward the following written blurb on this LJ I am hosting
